Contractors & Construction Insurance in Oklahoma

The work you actually perform should guide your insurance. Tell us about your projects, the people doing the work, and the vehicles and equipment that keep your business moving.

A request does not bind coverage or change a policy.

Match the review to the job.

A new trade, larger project or different contract can change the information an insurer needs. Start with the work, then review the requirements.

Projects and scope of work

Describe your trades, project types, typical job size and where you work. Include new operations you are considering rather than assuming a current policy extends to them.

Employees and subcontractors

Explain who performs the work and which responsibilities you give to subcontractors. Bring relevant agreements and insurance requirements. The right treatment depends on your arrangements and the policies involved.

Equipment and business vehicles

List owned, rented or borrowed equipment and vehicles used for work. Explain where they are kept and how they move between jobs. Do not assume a personal policy or another party’s insurance addresses business use.

Contracts and proof of insurance

Share insurance requirements before a project begins when possible. A certificate documents information about insurance; it does not amend a policy or guarantee that a contract’s requirements are met.

Before you request

A few useful answers

Can a new contracting business request coverage?

Yes. Explain the work you plan to do and the desired start date. New businesses may not have prior policies or loss runs. Available options depend on the operation and insurer requirements.

Can I request a certificate here?

Existing clients can use the proof-of-insurance request page. Staff will review the request; sending it does not automatically issue a certificate or change coverage.
